The power of technology allows for some incredible moments to be captured. Whether it’s trekking through the serene mountains of Yosemite, cycling through the magnificent terrain of Turks & Caicos Islands, slow traveling through off-the-beaten path destinations, or adjusting your money mindset so you can book more trips — travel vloggers showcase it all.
Scouring the internet, I’ve found some incredible travel vloggers, but not many curated lists completely dedicated to the BIPOC community. Just like I created my own list of the top Black yoga channels on Youtube, I decided to create a list of my personal favorite travel channels as a resource to anyone wanting to either experience more diversity in the travel vlogging industry or if you just want to see someone like you exploring the ends of the world.
In other words, representation matters and is important.
We all deserve our stories to be told, shared and accepted. Below, you’ll find the best Black travel vloggers on Youtube to follow this year. From incredible personalities to informative tips, and insights into the travel industry, these are my favorite vloggers worth a Friday night binge.
Sidenote: Planning to binge some of these awe-inspiring travel Youtube channels? Here’s a list of healthy go-to plant based snacks from Amazon that either salty and sweet. After all, chocolate on a Friday night is always a good idea!

Black travel vloggers
Keep in mind, many of these Youtube travel vloggers can fit into more than one of the categories listed below. Also, I tried to list vloggers who are still producing content currently. However, there are more Black content creators then those I’ve listed below.
Hope you find this list of the best travel Youtube channels both inspiring and enjoyable as you craft your own travel experiences!
Travel, journalism, and education
Glo Atanmo
If you’re a travel blogger, travel vlogger or digital nomad, this channel is for you! Inside this channel Glo shares the lessons she’s learned over the years, beautiful travel videos, and actionable tips on personal development.
I’m OBSESSED with her channel and have learned so much about travel blogging from her. She’s an expert and recently started a podcast called “The Glow Show Podcast” which you can find on Youtube as well.
Oneika the Traveller
Oneika is a Jamaican-Canadian traveler who always has me deep in thought. I love her content! Her journalism and storytelling skills are amazing. It always pushes me to think outside the box as I’m constantly learning new things on her channel, Instagram or blog.
Also, she speaks French and even has beginner French lessons on her channel to help you learn the basics before heading off to a French speaking country.
Need budget advice? She’s has you covered on that as well with her “Big City, Little Budget” series.
Ashley Smith
Curious what’s going through your flight attendants mind? Well, travel vlogger and flight attendant Ashley Smith has nailed the script on showing you inside the mind of a flight attendant. Specifically, her channel is a flight attendant vlog.
I love her kindness and personality as her joy lights up the room! She’s super honest and informative about what its like flight attending during a pandemic.
Travel and lifestyle
Lydia Dinga
Lydia’s personality shines bright in her videos! She’s extremely warm, entertaining, informative and has me busting out in laughter. Her videos will make you want to visit all the beautiful locations she sees and is always paired to some great music.

She built her dream house in Bali and it’s absolutely stunning. Chidi is an inspiration for nomadic living. She’s encouraging and uplifting as she shares her exciting journey moving from NYC to Bali.
Maryjane
Maryjane keeps it real and is super open about her life journey. She’s a travel vlogger who shares what it’s like exploring the world from Dubai and Zanzibar to Colombia.
What I love most about her channel is that she shares her personal stories and lessons learned from various experiences she’s gone through while traveling and in life. Whether its weight gain, weight lost, going make-up free, or why she’ll never move back to the U.S., her channel has so many awesome resources to learn from.

Erik is the travel vlogger, photographer and writer behind Minority Nomad. His stories are super interesting and he covers food content around the globe! Many of his food related videos are drool worthy and give you some insight into what to expect food wise especially as if you’re vegan-ish traveler.
While its not vegan food, it’s always nice to know what to expect food wise before you arrive at your destination. If you’re a vegan-ish traveler or have food allergies, here’s the travel apps I highly recommend downloading before your next trip — best allergy-friendly travel apps.
