How can I do a full body workout without any equipment
As a wellness travel blogger, this is probably the question I think about the most (and get asked the most from my clients or readers). Traveling with a wellness focus makes you think twice about what your mind, body and soul need while traveling. Do you crave a super active sweat-sesh like a full body workout, or something more gentle like yoga?
Either way, full body workouts without any equipment is extremely doable. In fact, body weight workouts only require three things — a body and time and guidance. For instance, think of squats, lunges, and planks. Each of these are body weight exercises meant to sculpt and tone the body.
Besides finding a time to start, mindful movement and repetition are important keys when doing at-home body workouts without any equipment. Focus on squeezing the muscles you’re working, breath deeply, move through the entire movement, and repeat.
Keeping this at the forefront of my mind, always helps produce excellent results. I’m still able to build lean muscle without weights all while doing with home workouts.
What is the best time to workout at home
The best time to workout is still a debate. Some people prefer morning, or quick lunch break workouts. Meanwhile, others enjoy evening workouts once the work day is over to unwind.
Personally, I love morning at-home workouts because it leaves you feeling refreshed and awakened for the day ahead. While evening workouts are easier to skip from either working late, social engagements or tired from traveling.
Research shows there are pros and cons to each.
Pros of Morning Workouts
- Boosts your energy levels
- Improves quality sleep
- Sets a positive and health-focused tone for the day
- May help you burn more fat if you workout before breakfast
- Life events don’t get in the way (or they’re less-likely)
Pros of Evening Workouts
- Can be a great stress outlet
- Body is more flexible in the evening — better workouts!
- Warm ups may be quicker
- May not need to eat a healthy snack before your workout if you plan it around meals
My suggestion — decide which time works best for your lifestyle, practice healthy habits, and sprinkle in some self-care. Then you’ll be well on your way to creating an invigorating health regime.

Ultimately, the key to creating an effective health and fitness regimen is consistency. While following a strict workout time frame isn’t necessary, planning your at-home workout around similar times may help you create easier exercise habits. Plus, you may find it easier to bring these wellness habits on the road.

Fitness and travel
Ultimately at-home workouts are one of my go-to jams. They’re convenient, budget-friendly, are an excellent option if you’re in a time crunch or don’t have access to the gym. Practice these workouts at home or take these equipment-free workouts with you on the road.
When traveling, workouts on Youtube can be great for business travel, leisure travel and any type of travel where you’re wanting to stay on track with your health goals while you’re relaxing (lets say) on the warm beaches of Ibiza.
In fact, when I’m traveling, I use these types of workouts first thing in the morning to get my exercise out of the way and for a quick energy boost. Often I’ve found this coupled with drinking plenty of water and swapping out fried food for cleaner food options (e.g choosing apples over chips) allows me to experience the pungent cuisines from around the world — Malta, Kiev, European Christmas markets — all while staying in shape.
However, if you’re traveling and have a busy schedule don’t worry too much about missing workouts. Instead, try adding active activities into your schedule such as:
- Hiking a local trail
- Visiting a national park
- Walking to your activities instead of taking a taxi
Just remember to incorporate some rest days into your regimen too. While exercise is a key component in fitness, so is nutrition, rest, and a healthy mindset.
